An arthroscopic meniscectomy is a keyhole surgical procedure in which some or all of the meniscus is removed from the tibio-femoral knee joint. This operation is performed when the meniscal tear is too large for meniscal repair. The surgeon uses an arthroscope, a thin, flexible tube with light and camera, to complete the procedure.
This service includes debridement: Any damaged tissue or foreign objects will be removed from the joint.
